Career Development - A. Description

Career is really one of the favorite parts of my job. I really enjoy being able to work with students to figure out what job opportunities are available and how we can prepare them for those positions. With this year being so complicated I was not able to implement any type of career unit like I had wanted to, but I was able to speak with a couple of classes about their future careers. We took a career interest inventory and explored some of the options that they found. To do this we used Indiana Career Explorer since it has so many resources available for us to sue and is completely free for our students. We also took at look at the Indiana Reality Check website (http://www.hoosierdata.in.gov/inreality/), this gave students a general idea of how much money they would have to make to support their lifestyle.
